Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Buying a Glue Gun

One important thing to note when purchasing the Manelord Dent Puller is that it does not come with a glue gun or glue sticks. You must either have your own glue gun or purchase one separately. This is because the dent puller utilizes hot melt glue to effectively remove dents from your car or other metal surfaces.

Customer Reviews

Some customers have shared their experiences regarding the glue gun and glue sticks:

  • One customer mentioned that they had a tough dent along a crease in the top of their tailgate, and while the dent puller was able to significantly improve the dent, it still remained slightly visible. Nevertheless, they found it to be a much better solution than opting for an expensive body shop repair that would have costed $900.

  • Another customer appreciated that the product description provided detailed repair steps, which they found to be more helpful than the instructions that came in the box. They also mentioned that while they had to tighten the slide hammer components multiple times during the dent removal process, they were surprised and pleased with the results. The dent popped out on the second pull, giving them confidence to tackle another dent on the opposite side. They also noted that the dent puller seemed to be easily storable for future use.

  • However, one customer unfortunately faced difficulties with the glue sticks. They found that the glue sticks they had ordered as an “add on” were too large in diameter to fit the glue gun provided with the kit. Despite this setback, they mentioned that everything else seemed to be in good condition and they were eager to try removing dents using the kit.

  • Lastly, a customer pointed out that while the item looked valuable for its price, there was a discrepancy in the power specifications. The seller advertised it as a 100W device, but the capture on the actual device stated 100-240V. The customer suspected that the device could only reach 100W with a 240V power supply, meaning it may only provide around 50W when plugged into a 110V outlet.

Remember, it is important to have a compatible glue gun and glue sticks to ensure optimal performance when using the Manelord Dent Puller for dent removal.

Impressive Glue Gun with High Wattage

This is my first glue gun that is rated at 100W. The high wattage is important to note because it allows for a short heat-up time and higher temperatures so you can do the work as quickly as possible. Waiting for the glue stick to melt between work can be frustrating and affect the quality and accuracy of your work. The Manelord comes with the usual safety features, including a stand to keep the nozzle elevated off the ground and overheat protection. Included is a storage case, 5 yellow glue sticks, and 5 black ones. To use the glue gun, insert a glue stick into the gun’s socket and heat it up (should take between 3-5 mins). When there’s some stick remaining, use a fresh one to push out the old one. Never push out the remaining stick in any other way, or you’ll risk burning yourself. Glue sticks can be used for a wide variety of purposes, including bringing together wood, metal, plastic, glass, and paper pieces. You can also create some really, really strong sculptures with the melted glue, such as keeping a frayed phone charging cable from bending/breaking. Check out online videos for some really neat things you can do with glue sticks. Overall, I have relegated my older glue gun to my younger brother. 100W really does make a difference in speed. I hope you found this review helpful, and thank you for reading! Thank you!

Glue Stick Size Issue

The glue sticks that were ordered as an “add on” are too large in diameter to fit the glue gun furnished with my kit. The glue gun that I received uses a smaller diameter glue stick. Guess I wasted the $10.99 for the add on, since I’m unable to use them. Otherwise, everything else looks okay. Haven’t tried removing any dents yet, so can’t comment on what success I am having using the kit.

Ineffective on Thick Metal

Not good enough adhesion to pull any dents on my 1986 Chevy, guess the metal is too thick.

Glue Issues and Lack of Information

I tried to pull a dent out with this product and it didn’t work. The tool is actually nice and built sturdy. The attachments are different sizes for different needs. But it comes with an empty bottle of glue adhesive remover, so you have to buy that separate. No glue gun or glue sticks to adhere the pieces it comes with. When I bought the glue and glue gun, I then tried to get the dent out. Glue simply does not stick to the vehicle. When you go to pull the dent, the glue just pops right off. I think it would be smart to include the right glue or have a detailed description of which one to purchase.

Requires Own Glue Gun

You must have your own glue gun or buy one with this kit. I had a tough dent along a crease in the top of my tailgate. It pulled it out much better than it was but it’s still there slightly. Still better than the body shop that quoted me $900 to replace the tailgate.

FAQs

Does the dent puller work on thick metal?

Based on a customer review, it seems that the Manelord Dent Puller may not have enough adhesion to pull dents on thicker metals like the ones found on a 1986 Chevy. This particular customer had trouble getting the tool to work on their car. It’s important to consider the thickness of the metal surface when using this dent puller.

Do I need to have my own glue gun?

Yes, to effectively use the Manelord Dent Puller, you will need to have your own glue gun or purchase one separately. The dent puller requires hot melt glue to pull out the dents, and this is not included in the kit. As mentioned by a customer, it is recommended to have a glue gun and glue sticks in order to work with this dent repair tool.

Does the dent puller work on creased dents?

According to a customer review, the Manelord Dent Puller was able to effectively remove a dent along a crease on the top of a tailgate. It is important to note that the effectiveness of the dent puller may vary depending on the severity and type of dent.

Are the necessary items included in the kit?

Unfortunately, as mentioned in a customer review, the Manelord Dent Puller does not come with a glue gun or glue sticks. Additionally, the kit includes an empty bottle of glue adhesive remover. Customers will need to purchase these items separately in order to adhere the pieces and effectively use the dent puller. One customer specifically mentioned the importance of a high wattage glue gun, such as the 100W rating of the Manelord glue gun. This high wattage allows for a short heat-up time and higher temperatures, making the dent removal process quicker and more efficient.

In conclusion, the Manelord Dent Puller has received positive feedback from customers who have successfully used it to remove dents from their vehicles. However, it is important to note that the product does not come with a glue gun or glue sticks, and patience is required for effective dent removal.
